An elevated reimagining of a Southbank institution, where layered materials and bold accents capture the vibrancy of Mexico.
From the Margarita Bar to the playful piñata room, every detail is designed to immerse guests in energy, culture and connection.
After years as a Southbank favourite, this iconic Mexican restaurant has been reimagined into a vibrant new chapter in partnership with Alemre Hospitality Group. The design captures the energy and soul of Mexico in a modern, elevated way—combining earthy tones, textured finishes, and playful accents that breathe boldness into the space. Rendered walls, rust-hued encaustic tiles, warm terrazzo, and rich timbers speak to the country’s landscape and architecture, while neon lighting and graphic moments draw guests toward the glowing Margarita Bar, a focal point visible from the street.

Playfulness continues in the Piñata Room upstairs, a spirited nod to tradition that ties the story together. Every material and detail has been layered to immerse guests in the colour, culture, and vibrancy of Mexico, while strengthening Southbank’s reputation as a dynamic dining destination.
